What’s your advice for residents who are beginning their job search?

Understand what you want and what your priorities are: family, location, hours, type of job (hospitalist vs. outpatient care, etc.), salary, visa, so you can filter your options.

What was the most important factor in your search for a new job?

Visa sponsorship and location.

How did you find your job?

I created a profile with my CV attached to it in PracticeLink and submitted applications to the positions I found interesting. The process was much easier than expected, and I was surprised with how many options and opportunities there are.
